Take Rape Seriously
“Take rape seriously, every victim every time. Rape is a real crime, rapists should do real time!”
On Tuesday January 31, NOW-NYC met with New York City Police Commissioner James O’Neill to push for department-wide reforms that will ensure all sexual assault victims are taken seriously and their complaints are met with competence, urgency, and respect.
Earlier in January, NOW-NYC protested at the 94th NYPD Precinct in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, in response to callous comments made by Commanding Officer, Captain Peter Rose.
We took action to demand that the NYPD Take Rape Seriously. Join us, YOU can take action, too!
