ALLY EVENT: 13th Annual Battered Mothers Custody Conference
“Battered Women, Abused Children, and Child Custody: A National Crisis”
This informative conference of experts from across the state will address this year’s theme, “Custody, Litigation, Trauma, and Recovery” through workshops, panels, and keynote addresses.
The Battered Mothers Custody Conference (BMCC) is an annual weekend event dedicated to educating professionals and the general public about the serious legal and psychological challenges faced by battered women who seek protection for themselves and their children from the family/divorce court system. The conference aims to inform, support, and advocate for these survivors, allowing them to network with each other and with professionals and advocates to enhance their ability to overcome the impacts of abuse and to better advocate for themselves and their children within the legal arena.
The conference, led by BMCC Chair Dr. Mo Therese Hannah, fosters camaraderie, and the heartfelt stories of struggles and progress continue to be an inspiration to all who attend.
