ALLY EVENT: End Family Separation NYC Rally
Even after the signing of Trump’s executive order on June 20th, there are still 2,300 children isolated from their parents, and no plans to release them OR to stop the detention of families seeking refuge and asylum in the US. The deplorable conditions where these children are being housed is inhumane – some children are at centers with histories of sexual abuse.
Join NOW to show our administration that this executive order is NOT enough to mollify us.
On Saturday, June 30, New Yorkers will join together with dozens of other cities in a National Day of Action to Fight for Families and to demand that Donald Trump and his administration stop separating kids from their parents! Families belong together, and we need to end this — NOW!
Every day, this administration threatens the very future of our communities. The conditions these children are being subjected to is deplorable.
All New Yorkers – families and children – are welcome and encouraged to attend. This will be a permitted event. We will be meeting at Foley Square and marching across the Brooklyn Bridge to Cadman Plaza.
