ALLY EVENT: Human Rights Watch Film Festival – NYC
80% of the films in this year’s Human Rights Watch Film Festival were directed by women, and 5 of the films featured in the New York edition are focussed on women’s rights!
New York’s 29th annual HRW Film Festival presents 15 powerful films offering fresh perspectives and critical insights on human rights concerns impacting people around the world. Even more exciting, this year’s festival has a female focus!
We invite you to attend one or more of these revolutionary films and support Human Rights Watch as it lays the legal and moral groundwork necessary for inciting deep rooted change and justice for all.
Each screening will be joined by filmmakers, film subjects, Human Rights Watch researchers and activists for Q&As. These films will start much needed discussion around important topics and your voice is crucial in that conversation.
