Anti-Trafficking Lobby Day in DC
NOW and World Without Exploitation join forces to protect women and girls from traffickers and lobby Congress to pass The Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act, (SESTA) S. 1693. With traffickers advertising women and girls online like products, we need legislation to protect vulnerable children and adults from being bought and sold.
Help us stop traffickers in their tracks. Hop on the bus to DC with us and make your voices heard!
Save the date for our rally, legislative briefing, and meetings on Capitol Hill to urge our Congressional leaders to pass SESTA, S. 1693, striking a blow to online traffickers and those who knowingly host their advrtisements.
Meet us in the Penn Station area at 6 AM to head to DC. We will leave by 4:30 PM to return home that evening. Details on the exact departure location will be sent to all who register for the trip.
RSVP here to reserve your seat on the bus to DC and receive updates. Please email questions to email@example.com.
Once we arrive in DC, at the legislative briefing, “Disrupting Online Exploitation: Why Survivors are Standing Up for #SESTA,” we will learn the details and significance of the bill and how to discuss it with our Congressional leaders that afternoon.
NOW-NYC is a proud member of the World Without Exploitation coalition and hope you can join this important day of action.
