Historians and Feminists: An Intergenerational Convention
*Please note this event is being held in Durham, North Carolina*
Veteran Feminists of America (VFA) will be hosting a convention on the Second Wave woman’s movement of the 1960s and ’70s and feminist activist work of today. Three panels will be held, the first focusing on Grassroots Organizing, the second on Law and Government, and the third on Employment Activism. Panels will be made up of leading activists, experts, organizers, and historians.
On Thursday, March 30, at 4:00 pm, there is a welcome reception at the Sallie Bingham Center for Women’s History and Culture at Duke.
On Friday the day begins at 9:30 AM with a keynote speech from Dr. Nancy MacLean of Duke University, a leading historian of the U.S. in the 20th century.
At 5:30 PM a VFA Salute to Southern Feminists at a reception and awards dinner.
