Ally Event: “In Our Backyard” Film Screening and Panel Discussion
Did you know that New York ranks 4th for sex trafficking in the US? Join our allies for an awareness-raising evening with anti-trafficking advocates and leaders to learn more about this epidemic that is happening in our own neighborhoods.
The “In Our Backyard” documentary is an investigative look into the mostly unknown world of sex trafficking in Brooklyn. The film presents emotional stories of three recent survivors along side the efforts of organization, law enforcement agencies, and politicians.
The panel discussion will include the filmmaker, Danielle Rose, survivor advocate Iryna, andMichelle Geulbart, Director of Private Sector Engagement at ECPAT USA.
The event will take place at the Brooklyn Central Library – Dweck Center.
