Women’s Town Hall: Speak Up, Speak Out Against Violence
Whether it’s pre-natal care, birth control, keeping our families together, or preventing violence—these essentials are all on the chopping block of the Trump agenda. Yet many Republican leaders across the state are literally hiding from their constituents.
To respond, NOW New York is kicking off our own series of Town Halls on violence against women across the state – to amplify the voices of survivors and advocates and to document the vital need for the threatened programs of the Violence Against Women Act.
Monday, March 20th
6:30PM – 8:30PM
WE ARE CURRENTLY AT CAPACITY – Sign up here to be put on the waitlist for this event and future town halls (we will be holding more Women’s Town Halls across the city and state).
RSVP below to listen, speak, and take action! Address will be emailed to you upon confirmation of your RSVP.
Sign-up to speak up here! Would you like to talk about the importance of preserving these programs and services? Tell your own story or speak out for your organization or for a friend or family member. All of the testimony we collect (written and spoken) will be presented to our Congressional leaders to make our case to preserve and expand VAWA.
