Candidate Information: NOW-NYC Board Election
You must submit a “declaration of candidacy” by Thursday, December 31st at 5:30 pm by email to email@example.com. The declaration must include your name, contact information (email and phone number) and a short statement that declares for which position you are running and how you meet the eligibility requirements for that position. Please include a feminist resume of up to 500 words (up to 750 for position of President).

President: The President is the chief executive officer and principal spokesperson of the Chapter.
Vice Presidents (3 Positions): The three Vice Presidents shall generally assist the President in advancing the chapter’s mission and purpose, especially in matters of action, legislation, and development.
Chair: The Chair shall prepare the agenda for and preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors.
Secretary: The Secretary shall take accurate and detailed minutes of all meetings of the Board and shall timely record, upon Board adoption, said minutes in the Chapter’s minute book.
Treasurer: The Treasurer shall present the financial status of the organization at each Board meeting. The treasurer shall chair the finance committee, assist in the preparation of the budget, help assemble materials for the annual audit and tax filings, and make financial information available to Board members, the Chapter membership, and the public.
Directors (Up to 5 Positions): The Board of Directors shall have general power to control, manage, and govern the affairs and property of the Chapter, by setting policy, managing and raising funds, promoting organizational growth, and fostering activism.
