Post-Election Call to Action
On Monday, November 14th, 2016, NOW-NYC hosted a Call to Action at the New York Society for Ethical Culture.
The event was a safe space for our community to talk, unite and forge a plan to move forward.
In a show of strength, we joined together for our first action: we peacefully marched together in solidarity to Columbus Circle. Our march was a call to reject sexism and racism and respect all people.
Take the pledge to stand with NOW. Join us to take a stand. Join us against normalizing the actions of the new President-elect. Join us to speak out and have conversations. Join us to be activists, to be allies, to be witnesses. Join us.
We are so grateful to all of our speakers and performers for uniting and inspiring us:
Gloria Steinem, Feminist Icon
Vince Warren, Executive Director of the Center for Constitutional Rights
Dr. Anne Kleaysen, Leader of the New York Society for Ethical Culture
Liz Singer, President of the Board of the New York Society for Ethical Culture
Anastasia Somoza, Disability Rights Advocate
Abby Dobson, Sonic Conceptual Artist
Audible Chocolate, Hip-Hop Soul Trio
Karin Reetz, Sound Healer
