NYS Assembly Passes Reproductive Services Act
On March 25, 2015 the New York State Assembly voted in support of the Reproductive Services Act (A.6221 – Glick/S.4432 -Stewart-Cousins) in a vote of 95-51. The bill will strengthen and modernize New York’s abortion laws and will codify the Roe v. Wade decision into New York State law.
NOW New York President Sonia Ossorio said, “Comprehensive reproductive healthcare is critical to women and their families. The Reproductive Services Act will strengthen our abortion laws and ensure that New York stands up as a model for what states across the country should be doing: fortifying, not diminishing, women’s access to vital healthcare.”
