25 Million Women Set to Lose Right to Abortion
Twenty states are poised to ban abortion if Roe v. Wade is overturned, says a new report from Planned Parenthood and In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda. This means over 25 million women, more than a third of women of reproductive age in America, could lose access to safe, legal abortion.
These 20 states include Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
If Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed, he would likely have the chance to rule on a pivotal abortion case within his first year on the bench. We have finally reached the moment we’ve all feared: losing our rights and access to abortion is virtually certain unless we are able to stop the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
This is the fight of our lives.
Not only Roe will be endangered–but we face devastating rollbacks on anti-discrimination protections that have been established for LGBTQ individuals, people of color, and other marginalized groups.
We have too much on the line. Please consider a donation to help us fight back NOW, and join us by taking action and calling your Senators TODAY. Tell them they must support a nominee who will uphold Roe and the rights of women and girls. Our lives depend on it.
