Join NOW-NYC for #DayWithoutAWoman on International Women’s Day
It’s International Women’s Day Here’s How to Get Involved:
Strike on International Women’s Day – Wed. March 8th
On International Women’s Day, activists from more than 30 countries are calling on women to participate in A Day Without a Woman and an International Women’s Strike to recognize our solidarity with women around the world fighting for equality and social justice.
Join Us for Lunch! Sit-In, Lunch-In, and Talk-In at City Hall – 12PM
On the steps of City Hall elected officials, advocates, and everyday New Yorkers will utilize a nonviolent form of peaceful protest to mark both the national Day Without A Woman and International Women’s Day.
NOW-NYC will be there to host a discussion on Advocacy to End Sexual Violence.
We will band together in small groups to talk about the profound economic and societal value of “women’s work,” whether it is paid or unpaid, and the critical role that women have played in professions that put people first.
Are You Striking? Stop by Our Open House for Activism! – 3:30-5:30PM
NOW-NYC is opening our office for an afternoon of actions, information-sharing, networking, and feminist dialogue. We invite you to drop by & engage your inner activist.
