We are defending access to reproductive healthcare. We have a long history of recruiting and training volunteer clinic escorts, advocating for better policies for patients and clinics, and providing a community for advocates and women’s health clinics to share expertise and knowledge.

Clinic protests happen here.

Right here in New York City, patients are being targeted, harassed, and intimidated by protesters who line the sidewalks outside women’s health clinics.

For seven years, Women’s Justice NOW was proud to provide on-the-ground volunteer clinic escorts every single Saturday morning to guide and support patients and keep protesters in check at Choices Women’s Medical Center in Jamaica, Queens. We built a program – almost 1,000 volunteers strong – to provide pro-choice support and clear access to the door for every patient. Today, the clinic escort program is completely volunteer-led and implemented by experienced advocates who still need your help.

We must close the healthcare gap.

Protecting clinic access is a critical part of addressing disparities in healthcare access. Especially when you consider that reproductive healthcare is recognized as an important gateway to comprehensive healthcare – it may be the first and only healthcare stop for women, girls, and their families.

Some of the most protested clinics in New York City serve the largest numbers of low-income women, women of color, youth, immigrant or undocumented women, incarcerated women, and women without health insurance.  Our continued mobilization is needed to ensure fair access for all.

Fake clinics: don’t be fooled.

Women deserve access to legitimate, medically accurate healthcare. Learn what you need to know about Crisis Pregnancy Centers, and make sure that you are able to connect with a licensed healthcare provider.
