Welcome to My Story, My Terms, a starting point for changing the conversation on gender-based violence – on campuses, in workplaces, and in public and private life. In this #MeToo era, it’s critical that we empower and equip survivors with the tools they need to lead with their own voices and define their own healing journeys.
Programs & Resources
My Story, My Terms is trauma-informed programming that includes an intensive, four-session storytelling workshop for survivors of gender-based violence; a Storytelling Workbook for Survivors, a self-guided journey of healing and empowerment; and public programs for campuses and communities that educate individuals about how to take ownership and of their story in this #MeToo era.

“For me, participating in My Story, My Terms, was like being thrown a lifeline in the middle of processing and healing from sexual trauma. Each week I looked forward to working with a group of highly trained individuals who helped me write and speak candidly about my experience. I felt so supported and cared for at NOW and it helped me gain a better perspective on the injustices that took place during and after my abuse. The storytelling workshop was such a wonderful gift, and I would give it 100 times over if I could.” – M.H.
