Three individuals operating an interstate prostitution ring have been named and charged but law enforcement has not done the same with the hundreds of sex buyers - high tech and pharmaceutical executives, doctors, professors, lawyers, scientists, accountants, elected officials, military officers, and government contractors with security clearances
“We are deeply concerned that women are making life-changing decisions with unreliable and inadequate information based on these unregulated tests,” said Sonia Ossorio, Executive Director of Women's Justice NOW. “Expectant parents deserve to be given all the facts that they need as they embark on these tests.”
Thirteen years after NOW-NYC and Women's Justice NOW worked to eliminate the statute of limitations on rape in the first degree, the NY legislature has extended the statute of limitations for rape in the second and third degree and criminal sexual acts in the second degree.
