Our “My Story, My Terms” public programs focus on writing, storytelling, and guidelines for navigating the process of sharing your story with others. The sessions are designed as a starting point and roadmap for individuals who want to use their writing and voice as a tool for personal, political, or social change.
Community & Campus Workshops
Our two-hour, trauma-informed workshops will offer an opportunity for participants to reflect, write, share, and empathize with survivors of gender-based violence and their allies. All of our workshops establish a safe space for individuals of any gender identity or background who have faced sexual harassment, sexual assault or other forms of gender-based violence (and their allies) to reclaim their stories and experiences in this #MeToo era.
Through the workshops, delivered by a trained social worker, you will be able to gain an understanding of the personal impact of sharing your story, think through any legal, social, or personal safety concerns, and learn about and tap into the healing power of storytelling. You will also gain access to our self-guided workbook with tools and resources survivors can use to launch their independent storytelling journey.
