Grab Trump By the Ballot: December Edition

It’s the last #DemDebate of 2019, and Trump is getting impeached?!

The biggest news of the day is that the House Judiciary Committee approved articles of impeachment against Trump. The House is set to vote on impeachment tomorrow, Wednesday, December 18th.

A LOT of other things have happened since the last debate, too:

• Trump issued new rules that will result in 688,000 people losing access to food stamps, known as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. Combined with other changes, millions of families could lose or see reduced benefits under Trump.
• Trump defied military leaders to defend Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher, who faced trial for war crimes. This shouldn’t come as a complete surprise, since Trump is on the record questioning the Geneva Conventions and supporting forms of torture for interrogation.
• Trump took time from his schedule to mock and belittle 16-year-old climate activist, Greta Thunberg, after she was named person of the year by TIME magazine.
