After 15 years in scouting and 9 years calling on the BSA to admit girls as official badge-earning members, on October 1, NYC scout Sydney Ireland, has reached her goal and will lead the inaugural class of women scouts poised to become the first female Eagle Scouts.

"Any city that has no women on its city council must have a NOW chapter. We need to be in Buffalo in 2021," said NOW New York President Sonia Ossorio, who is leading efforts to organize a local chapter.
