D.C. City Council Abandons Vote to Decriminalize the Commercial Sex Industry

NOW-NY showed up in force in D.C. and stood with survivors of human trafficking who testified to the harms of the sex industry and the real damage it causes to individuals and families. After hearing from survivors at the marathon hearing, the D.C. Council’s Judiciary and Public Safety Committee abandoned the proposal.
